How does it work?

What our students say...

Improve your English, have fun, make friends from around the world, discuss topics that are important to you. Summer School for juniors runs from 14th June 2021 - 17th September 2021.

You can select different courses and clubs depending on the time you have available. There are plenty of options to choose from: Cambridge Exam Preparation, General English, Film-making and Discussion Club, Debating Club, Storytelling Club, Book Club, Young Leaders Club

All courses include the Friday Night Social activity.

You can see the timetable for each course on the programme below, with links to each club. Courses are run, subject to demand, throughout the Summer School.

Please note that in order to join the online clubs you will need a desktop or laptop with microphone, webcam and Internet connectivity. You will also required permissions on your device to install Zoom and Google Classroom.

General English

This course develops your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills for everyday use, and improves your fluency. The course provides live lessons with a teacher combined with projects to complete in your own time.

All levels A2+ are offered, subject to demand.

Cambridge Exam Preparation

This course helps you master the key exam techniques that are required to get the best results. Choose from PET, Cambridge First or Cambridge Advanced.

Debating Club

Improve your English and learn how to express yourself and present your opinion with this course which has different themes and topics each week. This course is for students with mixed language levels.

Young Leaders Club

This course focuses on 21st century skills for juniors and develops critical thinking and debating skills. Students will be taking part in dynamic discussions and debates, expressing their views on different topics using different media. This course is for students with mixed language levels.

Film-making and Discussion Club

Improve your English and use it to create your own film/video. Each week will have a theme which will be discussed and used as a basis for telling a story through video. This course is for students with mixed language levels.

Storytelling

Improve your English and storytelling techniques. This course is for students with mixed language levels.

Book Club

Improve your English by reading books or passages from books and discussing these and topics raised. This course will also use Audio books. This course is for students with mixed language levels.
